God’s people are related to Him through a covenant promise. Even so, a relationship between a holy God and a sinful people will need elements that can sustain it. Exodus 19 gives us this pattern, 1. MEDIATION, 2. CONSECRATION, 3. PRESENTATION, and 4. PROTECTION. There can be no relationship between God and man without a mediator, without the people consecrating themselves, without the presence of God, and without protection from Him.
