Moses’ first encounter with God at the burning bush is a very familiar one to most Christians. A careful look reveals it wasn’t bout the place, but about the presence of God. And more than that – it wasn’t about experiencing the presence of God, it was about hearing the proclamation of God. God doesn’t want us to experience Him, He wants us to listen to Him!
