To Be – Was – Or Is
Most of you don’t usually engage in biblical interpretation at the higher criticism level: way too heavy, and boring to boot, right? Well, you might be surprised to find that it can really be very interesting and in some cases essential to your understanding of a particular passage. So give this a try … follow along carefully and see what you think. “I can’t even speculate about what moves translators to do or not do many things. It just seems like it’s most respectful of the text to try to note both similarities and differences in the original text when one can. John could have used a sixth ēn, but chose to use egeneto instead. If we can reflect his word-choice, I think we should. And here, we can.” You can read the rest HERE.

Essentialism
This is a book review of sorts – but does a good job of outlining the benefits of essentialism – – especially practical for business men and women. “’Only once you give yourself permission to stop trying to do it all, to stop saying yes to everyone, can you make your highest contribution towards the things that really matter.’ Essentialism is not about how to get more things done; it’s about how to get the right things done.” You can read the rest HERE.
