Jesus has promised to send the Holy Spirit when He leaves to be with the Father. The Spirit’s ministry and mission is for the church; calling them to life and hope through the gospel – granting them faith to believe. He brings gifts to the church for its mission and ministry endeavor. At the same time, He has an effect on the world by and through His presence. He comes to convict; to prove their guilt, to prove Jesus’ innocence, and to seal their fate in judgment.
