Update from the Elders

Dear Fellowship at Grace,

As you know we are not going to be meeting tomorrow at Grace for our Lord’s Day Worship. Your elders and other leaders met this morning to determine how we will continue to minister to the fellowship during this interruption. Despite the uncertainty and fear that surrounds us in this present crisis, believers are confident in the sovereignty, providence, and goodness of God. Though we can’t meet together, we do think it is important that we gather around the Word of God on Sunday. For tomorrow, we invite you to join us as we join with Grace Community Church of California through their livestream at 12:30 PM (Central Time). Pastor John MacArthur will be offering a biblical perspective on the current crisis and together we will benefit from his instruction.

Next week Pastor Steve will be complimenting John’s message with The Next Verse Podcast audio that you can listen to from home or work on your device. Our plans will be for these audio podcasts to focus our fellowship on the truths that guide and guard us in these days. Pastor Steve will also be continuing our study, Then Comes the End, from 1 Corinthians 15, using the same format. These teaching installments will keep us informed and strengthened through the Word of God. We’re anchoring to where He has us – and following wherever He leads us.

We also have dismissed Lord’s Day worship for the next three Sundays (March 15, 22 & 29). The Next Verse Podcast will be vital for our fellowship over these weeks and, along with our email communications, will form the context of biblical instruction, fellowship ministry and service, and other vital information for the family at Grace. We’ll email you when each podcast is available with links to facilitate your listening.

Please pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ. Please stay alert to needs that arise and let us know at the Church Office. Your pastors are at the ready to respond to any burden, as God provides.

These days are ordained of God – for His glory – and for our good; we will not fear.

Psalm 56:3–4
3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.
4 In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?

Grace and Peace,

Steve Wilson and the Elders at Grace
