He describes a SINGULAR MOTIVATION, that offers PERSONAL BENEFITS, that he knows WON’T COME EASY. For that reason he is DETERMINED TO WIN, and in that is also DETERMINED NOT TO LOSE. All of this will demand SELF-CONTROL. Some important lessons here for us all.
