From the series “Commissioned to Change the World.” Acts 2:1-13. The arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost displays a continuity and discontinuity in the work of the Third Person of the Godhead. He would continue to enable the children of God to accomplish God’s purposes. At the same time – something new was happening – no longer is it only the Spirit with us, but now it is the Spirit in us; The Baptism of the Spirit who then fills those early disciples to testify to the glory of God.
