Paul has a unique opportunity to declare the God of the universe to a gathered crowd of secular philosophers and erudite. Surrounded by the Athenians in the marketplace he introduces the Creator, the Ruler, the Giver, the Determiner, and the Seen. This understanding is foundational to Christian faith.
